Beginning with the name J-52, this guitar was updated and improved each time until the J-54 (6-string) and J-56 (12-string) versions were named Ranger VI and Ranger XII respectively in 1967. The onboard preamplifier is the Eko SE30: the system controls the electric piezo and offers controls for Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, Phase Inverter and display tuner.
